Take a Crash Course in Cartooning

What does it take to create a comic strip? The curious can find out at Nathan Hale’s Comic Creation Bootcamp. This one-hour, in-person class offers a crash course in making a four-panel comic strip. Nathan Hale, a New York Times bestselling cartoonist and graphic novelist, will offer prompts, time limits, and tips as he guides his students. At the end, participants will have the opportunity to see their comics projected onto a big screen. Cartoonists of all ages are welcome to attend the class, which will be held on August 26, 11 a.m.–noon, at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa. Admission is $15; advance registration is recommended. Find out more and register at tinyurl.com/hjswpmzk.
