Volunteers Renovate Anton Dugout

These are exciting times for Ukiah Babe Ruth Baseball. Ukiah has been granted the privilege of hosting the 2009 Babe Ruth 15 Year Old All-Star Regional Tournament at Anton Stadium. Teams from Guam, Hawaii, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Northern, Central and Southern California, plus our very own Ukiah Babe Ruth 15 year old All-Stars will play in this tournament. The winning team from this tournament will play directly in the Babe Ruth World Series. So as you can see we all have the opportunity to watch great baseball as well as make new friendships with other teams. The tournament dates start Wed, August 5th–Tuesday, August 11th.

This will be an exciting and memorable experience for the entire Ukiah community. The tournament committee is asking families and friends of Ukiah Babe Ruth to help make this a grand event. Many hands make for a light load. The Ukiah Babe Ruth Regional Tournament Committee has met and has developed a plan of attack for volunteer signups. They are asking all parents, families, friends, and Babe Ruth players to be part of this exciting opportunity. They are counting on the community’s support. This is an opportunity to promote the development of Ukiah’s one and only Anton Stadium to once again be the “premier baseball facility in Northern California.” Let’s show off our community as a great place to visit while helping our community economy.
