Your job is to help create, produce, and promote valuable timely content through our multimedia venues. You’ll be involved in the production of content from start to finish for: magazines, websites, newsletters, events, and social networking, as well as the new interactive print-mobile technologies.

- Curate, Create and Deliver Quality Engaging Content including the newest interactive technology
- Engage and Extend our Audience through Marketing, Social Networking and Public Relations, and Special Events.
- Meet Production Deadlines through, design and layout, proofing, video editing.
- Support Staff through General Office Tasks and Special Projects assistance.
- Represent the company at community and business events as part of our 'Event Team'

As the Editorial Editor, your job is to help discover create and deliver valuable, interesting, accurate and timely content through our multimedia venues. You’ll be involved in the curation and creation of content from start to finish for: magazines, websites, newsletters, events, and social networking.
This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of an exciting local media brands. Sonoma Family Life and Mendo Lake Family Life are international award-winning magazines that are part of a multi-media publishing company, now celebrating 20 years. These successful brands are the premier resource for families, are highly respected by medical and education professionals, and endorsed by family-oriented public agencies, local non-profits and businesses in the region.
Primary responsibilities are to:
- Discover, Create and Deliver Quality Content
- Engage and Extend these Audiences
- Manage Projects and Meet Deadlines.
- Assist in Public Relations, Marketing, Special Events and additional projects
For example, as the Editorial Assistant, you’ll work with freelance writers, edit and proof some articles, research and write others, evaluate submissions for possible publication, fact check and proofread. You’ll assist in graphics and layout. You may also attend community and business events to represent the magazine. Importantly, you’ll finalize pages and see projects through to completion.
- Knowledge of Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties is important.
- Must be available for some weekend and evening hours, as needed.
- Extensive on the job training and offsite opportunities available.
