The Third Annual Petaluma Animal Shelter Rooster Booster Fundraiser is set for Friday, Aug. 10 from 7–10 p.m. Hosted by the Rooster Run Event Center, the evening will be filled with friends who care about the welfare of animals who will enjoy sweet and savory gourmet foods, local beer and wine, a silent auction, hourly raffles and a mega raffle. Mega Raffle items include a large flat screen television, Limosine transportation to Silver Oak Winery for a tour and tasting and a deluxe 5-burner barbecue grill.

Event organizers hope to offset ongoing funding constraints at the shelter, which is subject to continued belt-tightening like any other city department. Successful fundraising events in the past have earned over $8,000 and offset the cost of materials needed to support animals at the shelter.
