Students will get a hands on experience in the shop where they will use a variety of hand tools and power tools to make useful items out metal. This short course teaches shop safety, print reading, measurement, layout and tool use. Students will be given safety glasses and all materials needed to complete their projects. Students will also get to try their hand at some welding methods and the opportunity to use a plasma cutter and an oxy-acetylene cutting torch. Classes are held June 8-11, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
