Fall Festival

September 22, 2012  10:00–3:00

Finley Community Center, 2060 W. College Ave., Santa Rosa

Look Who's Coming!

Celebrate the excitement of back-to-school with Sonoma Family Life Magazine’s free, annual Fall Festival on September 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Finley Center in Santa Rosa.

Great Performances to Watch

The Fall Festival will feature a bevy of great entertainers, from dance troupes to magicians to exotic fuzzy critters sure to charm you.

Classroom Safari will bring the jungle up close and personal with its wildlife show. You’ll get to meet Poke A Hontas the hedgehog, Chantico the ocelot and Riccochet the ringtail lemur, among other exotic and endearing animals

If you are a magic buff, check out the amazing stunts and baffling sleight of hand practiced by Julian Senocak.

If the pageantry of dance moves you, check out the colorful and graceful performances by Ballet Folklorico and the Bollywood/Bhangara dancers from Konocti Dane Academy. Or marvel at the daring stunts of Gym Cheer or Academy of Shotokan Karate.

Great Exhibitors to Visit

As you wander among the great exhibitors you’ll find party planning resources, martial arts and dance studios, schools, and health care providers ready to help make your family’s life healthier and happier (and perhaps more organized!).

The North Coast Nutrition and Fitness Collaborative will be on hand to serve free samples of creatively flavored waters as part of its Rethink Your Drink campaign to educate parents on alternatives to sugar-laden fruit drinks and sodas.

Additional highlights of the Fall Festival include appearances by McGruff the Crime Dog from the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department and Sparky the Firedog from the Santa Rosa Fire Department.

Great Treats to Eat

While you’re there at the Festival enjoying the great performances and getting lots of great info at the booths, enjoy some Mexican food at Vero’s, sumptuous ice cream from Molly Moo’s, a refreshing snow cone from Frostbites, all-natural sweets from the Kettles Corn Show, or that perennial favorite –- hot dogs --  from Hot Diggity Dogz. Yum!
