These three seminars focus on positive ways to promote children’s development. The Power of Positive Parenting introduces the benefits of creating a positive learning environment, the use of positive discipline, having realistic expectations, and taking care of yourself. Raising Confident, Competent Children presents strategies that help children develop social skills through respect for others, good communication, problem-solving, and independence. Raising Resilient Children provides parents with effective strategies to help their children deal with their feelings and cope with life stressors. Amy McIntyre, MA. Thursdays, Feb. 3 and Mar. 3 and 31. $20 per session; $55 for all three.
