New High School Opening! In the wake of the barrage of school closures comes news that Rohnert Park will be opening a new public Waldorf-inspired high school next fall. Credo High School will be located on the former Gold Ridge Elementary School campus. Interest is “very strong,” said school developer Chip Romer of Sonoma. The Waldorf secondary education focuses strongly on academic subjects while students continue to take courses in art, music and crafts. The first Waldorf school was founded in 1919 in Germany.
Currently state and private schools are increasingly using methods drawn from Waldorf education. |
