The Committee was formed in Cotati, CA in 2013. This unlikely group of characters kept bumping into each other at local get-togethers. Guitarist Randy Conant happened to bring an acoustic guitar one day, catching Ken Kerby, the drummer's eye. They found themselves enjoying each others groove and musicianship. Hence, the early idea of putting a new Rock group together was born. 

Early song-writing began at Ken's home studio. Eager to find other musicians, we simply put out the word in search of a Bass player and found Scott Bever, previously a guitar, banjo, and mandolin artist. As new songs were being written, it was clear that we needed a vocalist. During early rehearsals, Ken suggested having his wife, Leanna Kerby sit in. Her contribution with lyrics, melodies, and vocal talent mixed quickly making her the obvious choice. 

Seven months into this journey, The Committee performed their first show which was enthusiastically received. 

With new material still being composed, this gang made the conscious decision to finish their current song writing, bring it into Zone recording studio, before moving forward. With this now completed, a CD release party is in the works, and the calendar is quickly filling up with concert venues, club acts and private parties! STAY TUNED!
