Help Valley Fire Victims

The Valley Fire has ripped through more than 76,000 acres, destroyed nearly 2,000 structures, and resulted in the evacuation of thousands of people. Evacuees can register on the American Red Cross "Safe and Well" website or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to let their families know they're safe. Lake County and America Red Cross evacuation centers are at Grace Church in Kelseyville (the Kelseyville High School shelter is closed), Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga, the Twin Pine Casino in Middletown, and the Hidden Valley Association RV & Baseball Field in Hidden Valley. Other shelters include Calvary Chapel of Clearlake in Clearlake, New Hope Fellowship Church in Lakeport, Moose Lodge 2284 in Clearlake Oaks, and Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lakeport. For a comprehensive list of all shelters, see lakecountylac.com/shelters1.html. Also see lovelakecounty.org. Shelters are no longer accepting donations of material items. The best donation is money, which you can give at lakecountylac.com/donatevolunteer.html
