Free Access to Resources that Support Education

Library cards are free for all Sonoma County residents, providing access to books, DVDs, games, and digital learning tools.

All library locations have publiccomputers and Wi-Fi that can be used for FREE anytime. There are also quiet, safe places to study and read.

FREE homework help

We offer services, programs and resources to help students with homework success—including knowledgeable, helpful staff. 

FREE access to local and regional history

The Sonoma County History & Genealogy Library, located in the Annex behind the Central Library in Santa Rosa, is an excellent resource for local and Sonoma County-specific assignments. It houses historical information on Sonoma County and its cities and towns, as well as genealogical and census information.
