A+ College Applications

The college application process can be fraught with tension. But having a strategic plan of action can ease the stress. Joseph Heil, a credentialed teacher with a certificate in college counseling, aims to help high school students develop one at his free “Demystifying and Simplifying the College Application Process: A Path to College Workshop.” This free bilingual (Spanish/English) class for high school students and their families will include info on testing, college selection, financial aid, and essay writing. It will be held on October 6, 10–11:30 a.m., at Central Santa Rosa Library in Santa Rosa. For more information about additional presentations at libraries throughout the area, as well as dates and locations for West Sonoma County Services’ drop-in college application assistance, go to sonomalibrary.org.
