A Century of Community
May 02, 2019 03:59PM
An annual event for 125 years, the free Luther Burbank Rose Parade and Festival is more about community than flowers. This year’s parade honors the many people and organizations that have contributed to the success of the event over its century-long history. A slew of floats, representatives of nonprofit organizations, and marching and high school bands will walk along E, Fourth, and Third Streets on May 18 at 10 a.m. Their journey will end in downtown Santa Rosa, near Courthouse Square, where, 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m., there will be live music, food booths, and a variety of other family-friendly activities.
