New Moms: Feeling Isolated? There’s Help.

The first weeks and months of parenting a newborn can be difficult in the best of times. Add in a pandemic, and the isolation and uncertainty can make mothers feel especially vulnerable. For those needing some extra assistance, the Child Parent Institute in Santa Rosa has created a Mothers and Babies Support Group. The free ten-week, therapist-facilitated online group aims to help new moms and pregnant women connect with each other while they learn about parenting, bonding, and the emotions that come with new motherhood. Sessions will be held on Fridays, April 9–June 11, 9:30–11 a.m. Register at tinyurl.com/u2798nyx or calparents.org
