First originating in China and Japan, marbled paper has been around for a thousand years. And it’s still a popular decorative art. Kids can try their hand at the ancient practice at the Science Saturday: Marbled Paper class, where little ones ages 6–12 will make marbled note cards suitable for holiday sentiments. The workshop, which kids attend without parents, will be held twice on November 12, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., at the Environmental Discovery Center at Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa.
