Symphony to Perform Star Wars Music
There was a lot of buzz about Star Wars when it was released in 1977. But no one could have predicted it would spawn a pop culture phenomenon that would last for more than 40 years. Part of the Star Wars legacy is the John Williams scores. Listen to the Santa Rosa Symphony perform selections from them as part of its In a Galaxy Far, Far Away performance, which will feature music from all nine films in the Star Wars franchise. The concert will be held on August 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Weill Hall and lawn at the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park. Tickets are $30–$105 and may be purchased at tinyurl.com/4kmwt4dn.
