Lunar Eclipse Observation Scheduled

The Robert Ferguson Observatory invites the public to a special Lunar Eclipse Focus Night, an engaging and informative program designed to prepare skywatchers for one of nature’s most breathtaking celestial events — a lunar eclipse happening later that same night.

During this interactive session, participants will learn what causes lunar eclipses, how they unfold, and what to watch for during each phase. Observatory educators will share tips on optimal viewing techniques, whether using binoculars, telescopes, or the naked eye, and explain how to best capture the moment.

Following the program, attendees will be ready to step outside and experience the eclipse with confidence and excitement, equipped with both knowledge and practical observing skills. Admission is $40-$50. Monday, March 2, from 7-9 p.m.mRobert Ferguson Observatory, Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. Space is limited and advance registration is encouraged.
