The Laguna Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to restore and conserve the Laguna de Santa Rosa and to inspire appreciation for Sonoma County’s Wetland of International Importance. A variety of October events allow the public to support this mission. Thursday, October 8, is the free Community in Bloom: Botanical Drawing Activity from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, October 9, is Native Plant Garden Volunteer Day from 9 a.m.–noon. Saturday, October 10, is the Laguna Open House and Native Plant Sale from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Wednesday, October 14 is free Fall Birding at Taylor Mountain Regional Park from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 15, is An Evening with Gloria Armstrong: Poetry, Film & Conversation, from 6-7 p.m. for a $10-$25 sliding scale admission.
