The Winter Lights Downtown Tree Lighting Celebration, presented by the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber in California, is Santa Rosa’s most cherished holiday tradition. For over 40 years, this free, family-friendly event has marked the official start of the holiday season in downtown Santa Rosa. Thousands gather to enjoy live entertainment, festive food and drinks, family activities, and the magical moment when the city’s holiday tree lights up the night sky. Open to the entire community, the celebration features fun activities, live entertainment, holiday drinks and treats, and photos with Santa. Always held the day after Thanksgiving, this year’s event is Friday, November 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Courthouse Square, 50 Old Courthouse Square. Find more details at tinyurl.com/5bmpwm4t.
