Available Sessions:
Week 1 July 1 - 3* — Drama Games / Improv
(Mini-Session): Come and play with Sandcastle! Explore Drama through creative improvisation and imaginative play. **Please note: no class on July 4, July 5
Week 2 July 8 - 12 — Design (Costume focus)
Students learn about drama, character, and story-telling through the magic of design, with a focus on costumes! Session culminates with a presentation of original crafts and design concepts.
Week 3 July 15 - 19 — Design (Scenery focus)
Students learn about drama, character, and story-telling through the magic of design, with a focus on scenery! Session culminates with a presentation of original crafts and design concepts.
Week 4 July 22 - 26 — Storytelling / Playwriting
Students learn about drama, character, and playwriting through collaborative storytelling! Session culminates with a presentation of original script, and excerpts of students' original writing. Scripts are created with both written and verbal content (non-writers also welcome!)
Week 5 July 29 - Aug 2 — Acting / Performance
Students learn about acting and performance through games, exercises, and rehearsal! Session culminates with a presentation of an original script. All students cast. Performance script(s) created during Storytelling / Playwriting session (July 22-26).
