WILDFLOWERS NATURE CAMP

10570 Mill Station Road
Sebastopol, CA 95472

Brought to you by Wildflowers Nature School, Connecting kids to nature for 16 years!

Letting the innate wonder of nature be the context for learning.

M-F. 9am – 3pm. July 8-12. Ages 5-14. Sebastopol.

Ages 12-14 are Junior Mentors, learning Coyote Mentoring and how to teach skills like friction fire, debris shelters, basketry, and more, ending with a ceremony honoring this special age.

Unplug the kids from screens this summer and plug them into nature. They’ll spend the rest of the summer wanting to be outside, inventing games, making cool stuff from what they find in nature, and PLAYING. Learning to love nature at a young age will give them a refuge of happiness for all of their lives.

Taught by longtime professional environmental educator Bev Buswell & experienced special guests. Located on 4.7 beautiful acres of forest, creek, meadow, orchard, and gardens, backing to open space in Sebastopol, only 15 min. from Santa Rosa.

Responding to wonder in the forest, nature art, tracking, birding, archery, fire, shelter, natural dyes, basketry, cordage, storytelling, solar oven, games, gardening, making cool stuff from what we find in nature like cattail, tule, willow, and cob, and of course good old fashioned playing in the creek. This year’s special guests includes a mushroom grower (we’ll make our own oyster mushrooms)!

Only 1 wk this year, so sign up soon before spaces are gone: 707-479-1052.
