Sonoma Ecology Center Summer Science Camps
Sonoma Ecology Center Summer Science Camps provide children with the opportunity to learn about science and connect with nature through adventures, explorations, and hands-on activities. Each camp is designed and facilitated by our year-round, seasoned team of Environmental Educators who are skilled at crafting a meaningful outdoor experience for each camper. This year, we are delighted to offer 6 sessions of Summer Science Camps, based at either Sugarloaf Ridge State Park or Sonoma Garden Park. There are limited spots for each session, so early registration is highly encouraged.LEARN MORE

Garden Camp at Sonoma Garden Park
This summer, join Camille and Jonny at Garden Camp and become a Junior Naturalist in training! Throughout the week, campers will complete nature STEM experiments, make art pieces using natural materials, and learn how to be a good friend to the earth and its inhabitants, all culminating in the award of their Sonoma Ecology Center Junior Naturalist certificate.A seasoned Outdoor Educator of almost nine years, Camille offers a dynamic camp experience that ebbs and flows between moments of structured, large group activities like “chemistry” experiments using vegetable matter, and plenty of opportunities for children to follow their own interests and choose from an assortment of creative projects. With the garden as their playground, campers are given a safe space to explore, learn, build, and create to the beat of their own drum. Facilitated activities include scavenger hunts, fabric art, bubble wands, bug hut building, animal tracking, making forts, and more! Sonoma Garden Park’s newest attraction, the Children’s Nature Play Area, offers a haven for young adventurers to explore, unwind, and connect with nature, truly embracing the spirit of play! From team-building challenges to wildlife enactments, Garden Camp promises an enriching, memorable experience that children will take with them into the school year.
