Spark Creativity Summer Camps turn curiosity into creativity. Grounded in a hands-on, “learning by doing” approach, our programs immerse students in thoughtfully designed STEAM experiences that cultivate critical thinking, creative confidence, and real-world problem-solving skills.

From design and engineering to storytelling, making, and innovation, campers engage in meaningful, project-based work that strengthens collaborative and independent thinking — all within a supportive and inspiring environment. We’re happy to offer 9 weeks of enriching summer programs, where most weeks, campers can select from one of two specialized themes, allowing families to align their summer experience with their interests.

Disney/Lego STEAM

Camp Location: Spark Creativity Studio This weeklong, project-based camp invites young creators to explore beloved Disney movies, characters, and theme park magic through hands-on building, crafting, and playful problem-solving. Campers will use LEGO bricks, maker materials, and art supplies to design everything from character-inspired creations to mini theme park attractions and LEGO build challenges—all while learning foundational STEAM concepts in an age-appropriate, joyful way.

Art that Pops

This pop art–inspired visual arts camp invites TK–2nd graders to explore famous artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, Romero Britto, and Yayoi Kusama through hands-on, project-based artmaking. Creatures of the Continents

Camp Location: Spark Creativity Studio Pack your bags for a global STEAM adventure at Creatures of the Continents! Designed for TK–2nd graders, this weeklong camp invites young learners to explore amazing animals from around the world, with each day spotlighting a different continent—Africa, Asia, Australia & Oceania, North America, and South America. Through hands-on activities and creative exploration, campers will discover how animals live, adapt, and survive in diverse habitats and ecosystems, building early scientific understanding in a fun and age-appropriate way.

Every day includes a creative STEAM project that brings learning to life using a wide variety of materials and making techniques. Campers may sketch animals, sculpt with clay, engineer habitat-inspired structures, create puppets and textiles, or collaborate on large-scale murals inspired by the natural world. Along the way, students will explore animal behavior, adaptations, and environmental challenges while developing curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The week is designed to celebrate the incredible creatures that share our planet and inspire young explorers to care about the world around them.

Camp Location: Spark Creativity Studio Get ready to build, imagine, and play at Making with Minecraft & Pokémon, this creative STEAM camp brings two beloved worlds together through hands-on art, making, and age-appropriate technology activities. Campers will explore characters, environments, and storylines inspired by Minecraft and Pokémon, using a variety of materials to design, create, and bring their ideas to life both on and off the screen.

Creating with FIFA World Cup

Camp Location: Spark Creativity Studio Campers will explore the excitement of the World Cup through hands-on, age-appropriate activities such as decorating their own soccer jerseys, creating colorful team flags and garlands, sculpting simple bobblehead figures, and building a playful tabletop soccer game. The week also includes a colorful soccer painting, top player matching games, playful team chants, and building noisemakers. Through guided art and making projects, students will learn about teams and players from around the world while expressing their creativity in fun and approachable ways.

The camp concludes with a Friday Showcase, where families are invited to celebrate camper creations and enjoy a joyful display of World Cup–inspired art, games, and designs from a week filled with creativity, teamwork, and play.

Camp Location: Spark Creativity Studio Get ready to explore, tinker, and invent at Physical Science & Inventors. Throughout the week, campers will investigate how the world works through playful physical science explorations, including using microscopes and periscopes, building marble runs, and creating spinning toys powered by kinetic energy. Along the way, students will be introduced to inventors and their ideas, learning how curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving lead to exciting discoveries.

Campers will take part in inventor-inspired making projects that encourage experimentation, collaboration, and persistence. A highlight of the week is a collaborative Rube Goldberg machine, where students work together to design a chain-reaction creation using simple materials and big ideas.

This week brings beloved picture books such as The Beautiful Oops, Rosie Revere, Engineer, The Lorax, The World Is Not a Rectangle, and Iggy Peck, Architect to life through age-appropriate STEAM projects. Campers will explore themes of creativity, problem-solving, environmental care, and design as they turn stories into imaginative, hands-on creations.

The Art of Video Games

Camp Location: Spark Creativity Studio Level up your creativity at The Art of Video Games, a project-based STEAM camp inspired by some of the most iconic video game worlds of all time. Designed for students in grades 3rd–9th, this immersive week invites campers to explore the creative universe of video games—including Super Mario Bros., Pokémon, Kirby, The Legend of Zelda, Tetris, Splatoon, and Donkey Kong—through hands-on art, design, and maker-based projects. Using a variety of craft supplies and maker materials, students will reimagine characters, environments, puzzles, and gameplay elements while discovering how art, engineering, logic, and storytelling come together in game design.

Throughout the week, campers will work individually and collaboratively on creative challenges inspired by video games and their music, strengthening problem-solving skills, design thinking, and artistic expression. Projects may include character and world designs, pattern- and puzzle-based builds inspired by Tetris, interactive art, and visual creations influenced by game soundtracks and aesthetics. Camp Location: Spark Creativity Studio Bring ideas off the screen and into the real world at 3D Modeling & Making, a hands-on STEAM camp for students in grades 3rd–9th. Throughout the week, campers will explore the exciting process of designing, modeling, and creating three-dimensional objects. Using age-appropriate 3D modeling tools, 3D printing, and sculptural techniques, students will learn how designs are transformed into tangible forms while gaining a foundation in design principles, color theory, and spatial thinking.

Projects are structured to encourage creativity, problem-solving, and iteration as students design, test, refine, and produce their own 3D creations. Blue Planet & Sustainable Making

Camp Location: Spark Creativity Studio Dive into Blue Planet Exploration & Sustainable Making, where science, creativity, and environmental responsibility come together. Throughout the week, students will explore marine life across the world’s five oceans—the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, and Arctic—each day spotlighting a different ocean and its unique ecosystems. Campers will investigate ocean depths, marine life, temperatures, climate regulation, and the role humans play through trade, pollution, and conservation, building a deeper understanding of how interconnected our planet truly is.

Alongside their blue planet explorations, students will roll up their sleeves for hands-on sustainable making, learning how creative artists and designers use eco-friendly materials and mindful practices to care for our planet. Campers will transform their learning into a one-of-a-kind sculpture and a vibrant collaborative mural. The week concludes with a Friday Showcase, where families are invited to view student projects and celebrate a week of discovery, creativity, and meaningful making inspired by our blue planet.

Fashion & Upcycling Lab

Camp Location: Sonoma Country Day School Discover how creativity and sustainability come together at Fashion & Upcycling Lab, a hands-on STEAM camp for students in grades 3rd–9th. This week invites young designers to rethink fashion by transforming outdated or ill-fitting garments into fresh, functional, and totally personalized pieces. Through guided projects, campers will explore how design, problem-solving, and self-expression intersect—learning that great style doesn’t require buying new, but reimagining what already exists.Students will experiment with a variety of upcycling techniques, such as converting long-sleeve garments into sleeveless or short-sleeve styles, turning old jeans into custom skirts or accessories, shortening hems for modern silhouettes, and using basic pattern-hacking methods to reshape clothing.

Campers are encouraged to bring in garments they’re ready to part with—or pieces they love but don't quite fit anymore—and leave with refreshed, wearable fashion that tells a story. The week concludes with a Friday Showcase, where families are invited to celebrate each student’s creative voice and sustainable design journey.

Throughout the week, campers will build foundational sewing skills as they learn machine stitching, hand stitching, pattern reading, and jewelry making skills. Using these skills, students will design and create a variety of wearable accessories while developing confidence, precision, and their own creative voice.

In addition to skill-building projects, campers will take on two exciting sewing challenges: recreating a favorite top and upcycling an existing clothing item they no longer wear into something fresh and wearable. Students will also be introduced to influential fashion designers through kid-friendly Meet the Fashion Designer spotlights, learning how designers use creativity, problem-solving, and innovation to shape the fashion world. The week concludes with a Friday Showcase, where families are invited to celebrate camper designs and see how imagination, sustainability, and craftsmanship come together on the runway and beyond.

Camp Location: Spark Creativity Studio Step into the world of innovation at Decoding the Future: Tech & Robotics, a hands-on STEAM camp designed for curious thinkers and problem-solvers in grades 3rd–9th. Throughout the week, students will explore how technology and robotics shape the world around us through engaging, project-based experiences. Campers will learn to code interactive programs in Scratch and Code.org, design and model in Tinkercad, experiment with artificial intelligence as a positive problem-solving tool, and explore the basics of electronics using Arduinos and breadboards.

As the week progresses, students will bring their skills together by building and programming robots, and applying logic, creativity, and collaboration to solve real-world challenges. Culinary Creators: Food Truck Challenge

Camp Location: Sonoma Country Day School Are you curious about food trends, global cuisine, and the stories behind what we eat? This immersive, hands-on camp is designed for creative “foodies” ready to explore the art, culture, and business of food.

Throughout the week, campers will create imaginative food-inspired art — from sculptural creations to realistic dessert designs — while also stepping into the role of entrepreneur by developing their own food truck concept. Students will research food culture, design a branded menu, calculate pricing, and explore the fundamentals of marketing and visual identity. Along the way, they’ll customize their own apron and collaborate on challenge-based projects that strengthen communication, creative problem-solving, math application, design thinking, and technology skills — all within a fun and supportive environment.
