Preschool and Child Care Center
Since 1992, the First United Methodist Church of Santa Rosa, as part of a community outreach program, has provided an affordable, comprehensive child care program in a nurturing, Christian environment.
We welcome all families regardless of race, religion, gender, ability, national or ethnic origin.
"Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is such as these that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs."
Age Group Programs
Twiddlebug Class (2 year olds) and Caterpillar Class (3 year olds)
Our program provides age-appropriate developmental activities using a theme-based curriculum, with sensory play, art activities, story time, outdoor play, and more. We potty train.
Butterfly Class (4 year olds/Pre-K program)
The Butterfly class prepares our children for Kindergarten through theme-based curriculum. We use interactive circles to promote language and reading-readiness skills. Our room environment is set up with child-selected interest centers to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Independence is encouraged by teaching self-help skills.
- Bible Stories: One morning per week (15 minutes)
- Kids on the Move Gymnastics Program: Butterfly Class only (extra fee charged)
