Free 1 week, informative and interactive, inside look at the Sheriff's Office for youth ages 14-17 (18 years old if entering senior year of high school). The Youth Academy is designed to give young people a hands on opportunity to learn about the Sheriff's Office and gain knowledge and understanding of the functions and responsibilities of providing law enforcement services here in Sonoma County. Presentation topics include the correctional system, specialty units such as K-9s and our helicopter Henry1, police procedures, communications and investigations.
