Osher Lifelong Learning Institute's Cinema Club and Sonoma County Library present: a 1961 film starring Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe & Montgomery Clift. Please call us for the name of the film, we cannot share online due to copyright.

A screening of the film, followed by an open discussion led by Sonoma State University's illustrious film instructor, Barbara Spear. John Huston directed Arthur Miller's screenplay about a divorcée who falls for an over-the-hill cowboy who is struggling to maintain his independent lifestyle. Kate Cameron, in a recent review in the New York Daily News, wrote, "Gable has never done anything better onscreen, nor has Miss Monroe. Gable's acting is vibrant and lusty, hers true to the character as written by Miller." The film has an approval rating of 97% on the Rotten Tomatoes website.
