Language of the Land: A Sense of Place at Bodega Head

Join Jackie Sones of UC Davis’s Bodega Marine Reserve for 16 years of photographic highlights that celebrate the natural history of Bodega Head.

The Sonoma Coast hosts an impressive diversity of habitats, including rocky shores, kelp forests, seagrass meadows, salt marshes, tidal flats, coastal grasslands, bluffs, sandy beaches, dunes and the offshore open ocean. Join Jackie Sones of UC Davis’s Bodega Marine Reserve for a discussion about the benefits of developing a sense of place as well as ideas for connecting with the landscapes and seascapes around us. To illustrate those ideas, Jackie will share 16 years of photographic highlights that celebrate the natural history of Bodega Head.
