Free Youth and Young Adult Heart Screen
Cardiac screening event for 12-25 year olds
All Sonoma County youth and young adults ages 12-25 are invited to register for a free heart screening presented by the Petaluma Health Care District and Via Heart Project.
Screenings take 60-90 minutes (wait times may vary). A team of medical volunteers, including cardiologists, sonographers and nurses from around the Bay Area will conduct a health history questionnaire review, an EKG test, and if needed, an echocardiogram. The entire process is non-invasive—no needles or x-ray exposure—and we ensure that each participant’s confidentiality, privacy and individual modesty is respected throughout the screening.
Registration is limited to 750 and is open through noon on 2/25: https://viaheartproject.org/screenings/ Information can also be found by calling (707) 766-9226.
**All participants must be registered in advance.**
Campus policy requires that ALL screening participants must be fully vaccinated by February 11, 2022. Those who accompany them must also provide proof of vaccination and are welcome to wait outside or in their vehicles regardless of vaccine status.
