The Fog City Singers like barbershop! — finishing 9th at the 2022 International Barbershop Chorus Contest in Charlotte—but they also love choral and contemporary a cappella music too. In 2019, they were the featured ensemble at the California Choral Directors Association state conference in San Jose, CA. Today, Fog City Singers continue to push themselves and their audiences to look at barbershop and other a cappella music in new ways. Our theme for this performance is Up/Down, where we will be presenting a program that captures both the highest highs and lowest lows of life’s great roller coaster ride. With our signature blend of both barbershop and other tenor-bass a cappella we will be exploring feelings of pride, elation, and ecstasy, and contrasting with those of misery, resignation and despondency.
