Be ready when traditional communications are down by getting GMRS trained. The Town of Windsor and Windsor COPE have set up a free workshop with North Bay Communications Cooperative to help our community be better prepared when traditional communications are down. GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) radios are two-way radios that have a further reach than walkie talkies because they use repeaters. Communication using GMRS will be feasible when other communications are down.
