Spreckels Theatre Company is excited to present the high-energy, heartwarming musical Seussical! Fridays at 7:30, Saturdays & Sundays at 2:00pm.

From the opening note, audiences will be transported into the colorful world of Dr. Seuss, journeying through beloved works including “Horton Hears a Who!”, “The Lorax”, “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” and “The Cat in the Hat”. Seussical follows Horton (Malik Charles D. Wade I), a sensitive elephant, as he strives to protect a tiny planet of Whos living on a speck of dust, Gertrude (Molly Larsen-Shine), a loyal and follicularly challenged bird, Jojo (Tina Traboulsi), a Who child with a big imagination who just doesn’t fit the mold and the ever optimistic and energetic Cat in the Hat (Nelson Brown). Their worlds, big and small, intertwine in a kaleidoscope of comic, quirky characters as Horton and Jojo work together to save the Whos and stand up for those who can’t stand up for themselves. Seussical is a widely loved musical combining the whimsical, dynamic world of Dr. Seuss with universal themes of loyalty, friendship, self-worth, and the power of imagination. While highly entertaining for children, the show's humor and music also resonate with adults, making it a production for all ages to enjoy!
