Dear Evan Hansen follows Evan, a high school senior struggling with severe social anxiety who writes motivational letters to himself as a therapeutic exercise. When a troubled classmate dies with one of Evan’s letters in his pocket, the boy's grieving parents mistakenly believe Evan was his secret best friend. Desperate to comfort them, Evan plays along, spiraling into a web of fabricated emails and internet fame before he must ultimately face the truth.

Powered by a critically acclaimed pop-rock score and the sweeping anthems, Dear Even Hansen is a powerful reminder that we are never truly alone. Spreckels is proud to present the North Bay premiere of this six-time Tony Award winning musical!
